About The College:
Central College offers a wide range of academic and vocational courses designed to meet the demands of employers and partner universities.
The college runs courses leading to qualifications including National Certificates, Scottish Vocational Qualifications, Higher National Certificates (HNC), Higher National Diplomas (HND) and Diplomas in Higher Education (Dip HE) through the following schools- Beauty, Sports and Health
- Business
- Commerce
- Hairdressing and Holistic Therapies
- IT and Digital Art
- Languages and International Studies
- Law and Social Sciences.
Most students are from the West of Scotland but some 25 nationalities are represented in the student population. Central College students can also go on study visits and exchange projects abroad.
Support for learning
The Learning Curve houses Learner Services and Support where students can access advice and information on welfare, finance and guidance issues.
The team can provide disability support, support for learning and access to assistive technology for students who need it.
Additional Core Skills support is also available on a one to one basis.
Child care
The college does not have a nursery, but may be able to help fund registered child care elsewhere.
Adult entrants
Adult entrants are welcome. You may not need the normal entry requirements. All applicants have a pre-entry interview.
Part time study
The college runs a wide range of part time day and evening courses and Saturday morning courses.
There is an increasing range of open learning courses in many subjects and at various levels.

Did you know?- the college has recently developed formal links with the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a view to offering student exchange programmes from the start of the new financial year
- along with Glasgow Metropolitan and Glasgow College of Nautical Studies, the college has signed a historic agreement to merge and establish a new world class city college.
