About The College:
Glasgow Metropolitan College was launched in February 2005, when Glasgow College of Building and Printing merged with Glasgow College of Food Technology.
It is Glasgow’s largest college with over 15,000 students. It has five campuses – two in the city centre, two in the east end and one just south of the river.
Courses range from National Certificate through Higher National Certificate and Diploma to degrees.

The College works in partnership with a range of universities throughout the UK to provide opportunities for students to progress with their studies. It has specific links with Glasgow Caledonian, Dundee and the University of the West of Scotland.
Support for learning
Support for Learning staff are available to help students with various aspects of their study skills such as essay wrtiting, note taking and exam techniques. They can provide English as a Second Language (ESOL) support to students who need it.
The team can also help students who have an additional support need because of a medical condition or disability.
Child care
The College does not have a nursery, but may be able to help fund registered child care elsewhere.

Access courses
The College runs an Access course for higher education in Food Science, Food Manufacture and Biological Sciences.
Part time study
Part time courses run both day and evening. There are some courses on Saturday mornings.
Open and flexible learning courses are available in a variety of subjects. Many students use multi-media self-learning packages.
Community courses
The College works in partnership with community based organisations to provide learning opportunities in a wide range of subjects in a number of locations. Learning groups are small and meet at times to suit members. Contact the College for details.
