About The College:
John Wheatley College, Glasgow’s friendliest college, strives to provide an excellent and inclusive lifelong learning environment for the communities it serves.
It has two campuses, in the East End and in Easterhouse.
Most courses are at National Certificate level.

There is a range of provision for students who have learning difficulties.
Support for learning
The College’s centralised student support service can help all students to access education and training to suit their abilities and interests.
There is extra support for students who have a disability or special learning need, including physical and sensory impairments, social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, mental health problems or learning difficulties, including dyslexia.
Child care
The Larch child care centre at the East End campus cares for children from 6 weeks to 5 years and the Hullabaloo child care centre at the Easterhouse campus cares for children from 2 to 5 years.
Adult entrants
Adult students are welcome - courses are equally attractive to adults and school leavers.
Access courses
The College runs Access courses in Humanities (leading to a degree in Primary Teaching or Social Sciences) and Nursing and awaits approval for a Theatre Skills course leading to a relevant degree at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.
Part time study
There are part time day and evening courses. The College’s Flexible Learning units are open to all.
Community courses
The College provides a range of learning and leisure opportunities through its 12 centres in Greater Easterhouse and 6 centres in the east end of Glasgow. Details are on the website.

Did you know?
John Wheatley College provides a ‘Positive about Literacies (PAL)’ service in partnership with the Glasgow East Regeneration Agency (GERA). It helps local residents to improve their reading, writing, number work and basic computing skills.
