About The College:
Langside College opened its new main campus building in August 2009. It is designed so that the College can be at the forefront of engaging with learners in a partnership model that encourages them to enjoy their experience.

It runs a wide range of courses, for qualifications including Highers, National Certificates, Scottish Vocational Qualifications, Professional Development Awards and Higher National Certificates and Diplomas.

In addition, there is a varied programme of general education and inclusive learning opportunities.
There are over 10,000 students, 1,500 from outside Europe.
The College has strong links with the Universities of Glasgow, West of Scotland, Strathclyde, and Glasgow Caledonian. Some Higher National courses can get you into year 2 or 3 of a degree.
Support for learning
The LITEhouse (Learning, Information Technology, Employabilty) plays a major part in student support. It houses the College Learning Information Centre (CLIC), the Lifeskills Learning Unit, the Guidance and Careers Information Centre and the Flexible Learning Centre, where students can obtain
learning support – a learning plan identifies support you may need
help with basic number work, English or computing
extended learning support for students who have a disability or specific learning need
Child care
The Little Scholars Nursery, at the College, cares for children aged 2 to 5 years.
Adult entrants
Adult entrants are welcome. You may not need the normal entry requirements.
Access courses
The College runs Access courses leading to higher education in Humanities (including Primary Education and Social Work) and Nursing.
Part time study
There are part time courses, day and evening.
You can study at the Flexible Learning Centre which offers a wide range of courses, mainly IT related, many online.
Community courses
There are community based learning opportunities at the Govanhill, Toryglen and Glenwood campuses as well as in venues throughout the area.

Did you know?
Langside College’s new premises, which include a new main teaching block, a new theatre arts complex and both indoor and outdoor sports facilities are due to be completed by Autumn or Winter 2010.
